During 2005 there were 7 pedestrians and 1 bicyclist out of 72 total reportable motor vehicle fatalities. During 2004, there were 10 pedestrians and 2 bicyclists out of 101 total reportable motor vehicle fatalities. (Data from the Fatality Analysis Reporting System-FARS).
According to the 2003 Annual Alaska Traffic Accident statistics, there were 242 reportable bicycle related crashes and 173 reportable pedestrian related crashes. In 2004 the annual statistic reports that there were 193 reportable bicycle related crashes and 170 reportable pedestrian related crashes.
