The First Time Driver Drug and Alcohol Course teaches new drivers basic traffic laws and is proven to reduce the risk of alcohol related crashes amongst teenagers and young adults.

Indiana Driver Safety Program
The following courses are approved to meet the requirements of the Indiana Driver Safety Program:
- Defensive Driving Course - 4
- Defensive Driving Course - 8/6
- Defensive Driving Course - Professional Truck Driving
Motorists who have been convicted of at least two traffic violations within a 12-month period are required to attend a Driver Safety Program. Upon completion of the program, the motorist receives a four-point credit on their driving record. This credit is effective for a 3-year period.
Indiana motorists may also take the course to receive a four-point credit on their record even if they do not have a violation. Classes are available statewide.
