Special Parking Privileges
Handicapped license plates are valid on vehicles that are owned, operated or leased by individuals who are permanently handicapped, or owned by a family member.
The handicapped individual must have the special Handicapped Identification Card (received at the same time as the plate or placard) and the individual must be present in the vehicle whenever special handicapped parking facilities are used.
Note: Disabled Veteran (DV) plates are not handicapped plates and may not be used for parking in handicapped parking zones.
