Rumble Strips
Although the Highway Safety Office has no direct input to design and treatment of roadways in Vermont there are some efforts underway that affect safety on our roadways. Roundabouts are becoming more prevalent in Vermont and this will help to alleviate congestion and conflicting traffic at those intersections where they are constructed. Action has been completed on putting rumble strips along all controlled-access highways in Vermont. These two actions will help reduce crashes in Vermont.
