DMV Pull Notice Program
The Department of Motor Vehicles Employer Pull Notice System (EPN), which is a process to provide employers and regulatory agencies with a means of promoting driver safety through the ongoing review of driver records. The EPN program allows an organization to monitor the DL records of employees who drive on the organization's behalf. An employee whose license has had a disqualifying action (suspension or revocation of license or certificate) by the DMV shall not be employed as a driver.

The program assists the employer in identifying a driver:

  • who has been convicted of a driving offense,
  • who is accumulating a negligent operator's record,
  • whose license has been suspended or revoked,
  • who had any other actions taken against his or her driving privileges or certificate.

Driver Safety Training

Every mile you drive, you make 20 driving decisions; each in less than half a second. Don't take your driving for granted! Often it takes an accident to change our thinking about safety. Road conditions, attitude, emotional stress, and other factors can affect your driving.

The “Safe Driver” Course is designed for people who are required to drive a vehicle in order to perform their job duties. The course educates drivers about motor vehicle laws, the consequences of poor driving habits, defensive driving techniques, and the role of individual driver behavior. The course has been updated to provide a more comprehensive approach to enforcing traffic safety in the workplace and to include changing trends of driving a vehicle both on and off the job. Cell phone use and other technology devices cause unnecessary distractions on the road that contribute to accidents. Road rage and aggressive driving are new hazards that drivers have to contend with in an ever increasing fast-paced environment.

Insurance costs, driven by the frequency and severity of vehicular accidents, can be dramatically reduced through effective driver training.
