Challege X Competition
Mississippi State University (MSU) and the Center for Advanced Vehicular Systems (CAVS) were recently selected as one of the recipients to participate in the Challenge X Competition. The U.S. Department of Energy and General Motors, joined by other government and industry sponsors, created the Challenge X: Crossover to Sustainable Mobility Program.
Crossover to Sustainable Mobility is a three-year engineering competition that challenges selected universities to explore vehicle solutions that minimize energy consumption, while also reducing emissions. Each university team has an opportunity to participate in hands-on research and development with leading-edge automotive propulsion, fuels, materials and emission-control technologies.
In support of these activities, the Energy Division provides marketing and financial support in sponsorship of the Challenge X Competition. The Energy Division encourages the use of alternative fuels and vehicles.
