• Traffic Education Learner License:
In order to obtain a traffic education learner license, a person must be at least 14 years and 6 months old, have the consent of a parent or guardian, and complete or be enrolled in a traffic education course. People with a traffic education learner license cannot drive unless supervised by a licensed parent, guardian,or driving instructor.
• Instruction permit:
May be obtained after reaching the age of 16,or at least age 15 after completion of driver’s education, and passing a written test. People with instruction permits must not drive unsupervised.
• Full licensure:
May be obtained after reaching the age of 16,or at least 15 and completion of driver’s education, and passing a driving test. The driver’s license has no night driving or passenger restrictions. Crashes or violations may delay getting a full license.
