Booster Seats

Belt positioning booster seats can decrease the risk of serious injury in a car crash for children who have outgrown child harness seats, but who cannot yet safely use adult lap-shoulder belts. However, recent research has indicated that 4–8 year old children are often prematurely moved from child car seats into adult lap-shoulder belts that do not fit them properly, and thus remain at high risk of death or serious injury in a car crash.
