Who Should Take This Course?
The Mature Driver course is designed for licensed New Jersey drivers ages 55 and up. All drivers who meet the age requirement, complete the training and successfully pass the final exam will qualify for the three-year insurance discount.

How It Works
The New Jersey Mature Driver course is a six-hour driver improvement program that you can complete 100% online. The course is approved by the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (MVC) and provides a mandatory three-year auto insurance discount to drivers ages 55 and up.
You can access the course 24/7 and complete your training at your own pace. While you are required to spend at least six hours in the course, you can split up your training into as many sessions as you like. Any time you log out of the course or take a break, your progress will be saved automatically.
The course is divided into five lessons. Each lesson ends with a section review and a brief quiz. Students must meet the minimum time requirement for each lesson and score at least 80% on the quiz to advance to the next section.
The course ends with a comprehensive final exam featuring 20 multiple-choice questions. You must complete the exam within 180 minutes, and you have four attempts to pass with a score of 80% or higher.
Once you successfully pass your final exam, we'll send you a certificate of course completion via first-class mail. Please allow 7–10 days for delivery. Expedited delivery options are available for an additional fee.
How to Redeem Your Insurance Discount
To redeem your three-year insurance discount after completing the course, you must provide the course certificate to your insurance company. Please contact your provider to learn the steps to submit your certificate.
