A majority of gas stations have air compressors and those that sell more than 10,000 gallons of gas per month must supply free air according to Connecticut State Law Title 14 Sec. 14-325a.
You do not have to pay a fee to use the air compressor at a gas station. Free air is to be supplied for the purpose of tire inflation during the hours of operation of the gas station according to Connecticut State Law Title 14 Sec. 14-325a.
Should you find that a gas station is charging for air, you must submit a detailed written report to:
