Programs

The mission of the Injury Prevention Service is to improve the health of Oklahomans by reducing injury-related mortality, morbidity, and disability by utilizing a comprehensive public health approach, including data collection, epidemiology, implementation of community-based prevention programs, education and public awareness, policy development, and evaluation. In 1993, the Trauma Systems Division was established with the responsibility of planning and implementing a formal trauma care system for Oklahoma.
